Hendri Yulius Wijaya is a PhD candidate in Public Policy and PoliScal Science at the University of Melbourne. Before pursuing his PhD, he was a senior manager for ESG at PwC Indonesia and previously served as the Indonesia Country Manager for the Global ReporSng IniSaSve (GRI). His new book, The Sustainability Career Playbook (2025), offers accessible guidance for
young professionals looking to start their careers in ESG.
Currently, he is an independent consultant for Australia’s InvesSng in Women iniSaSve, working to advance gender equality in the workplace. As part of his PhD research, he has collaborated with a private bank in Indonesia to develop its first sustainability report and strategy, as well as its climate risk assessments.
