Ludwig O. Federigan

Ludwig O. Federigan is a sustainability and climate leadership advocate, writer, and mentor with extensive experience in environmental policy, corporate sustainability, and leadership development. He is the Founding Executive Director and Chief Strategic Advisor of the Young Environmental Forum, a Non-Resident Fellow of Stratbase ADR Institute, and a Consultant on Climate Change with the Co-operative College of the Philippines.

An engineer by training, he graduated top of his class from Don Bosco Technical College and holds an Executive Master in Disaster Risk and Crisis Management from the Asian Institute of Management, where he ranked among the top students. He also completed postgraduate studies in Business Administration, Strategic Business Economics, and Supply Chain Management, with further executive training at leading global institutions including Yale University, the University of Oxford, the University of East Anglia, and the National University of Singapore.

He has represented the Philippines in several international programs such as the G20 Global Leadership Program (South Korea), Academy of Change (Europe), and the ASEAN Sustainable Leadership in Infrastructure Programme (UK Government). In recognition of his leadership, he was appointed as an Island Innovation Ambassador and selected as a Sustainability Media Academy Fellow by EB Impact Singapore.

In the field of sustainability communications, he serves as a columnist for The Manila Times, having published over 320 articles on climate change, disaster resilience, ESG, and sustainable development. His expertise has contributed to corporate sustainability assurance for major companies including Energy Development Corporation, DMCI Holdings, and Maynilad Water Services.

He previously served as Head of Information and Knowledge Management at the Climate Change Commission of the Philippines and as Vice President for Business Operations and Treasurer of WWF-Philippines.

Recognised globally, he has received multiple honours including the Miguel R. Magalang Individual Climate Leadership Memorial Award, Dangal ng Kalikasan Award, and Icons of Change 2025 Award. A Climate Reality Leader trained by former US Vice President Al Gore, he is also a BERDE-certified sustainability professional and an active mentor to young climate leaders across Asia.

A dynamic speaker and thought leader, he has delivered over 300 presentations worldwide, inspiring more than 100,000 individuals across Asia, Europe, and the Americas to take meaningful climate and sustainability action.
