He didn’t just hold positions; he built legacies: • Architected MATRADE’s ESG Foundation as the founding Head of its first-ever ESG Unit, systematically embedding sustainability into national trade strategy. • Launched Global Benchmarks by creating the inaugural MIHAS Sustainability Awards, setting a new standard for excellence in the global halal ecosystem. • Forged International Bridges during diplomatic postings in Hong Kong, China, and Brazil, honing the skills of scaling influence and building cross-border coalitions. His career is a portfolio of successful “startups” within larger organisations, demonstrating a repeatable ability to identify systemic gaps and build the structures to fill them: • Led in the establishment of National Export Council & National Export Strategy for Malaysia in MATRADE and the Student Counselling Department at Limkokwing University. • Mobilized resources at the Malaysian AIDS Council, spearheading frameworks that secured more than RM40 million in funding for a decade of vital HIV/AIDS programmes. • Pioneered Industrial Safety, Health and Environmental programmes in the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers. Edison holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Psychology from the University of Manitoba, Canada—a combination that uniquely informs his human-centric approach to systemic economic change.
