
Lee Han Ther comes with more than 20 years of experience across multiple security domains and capacities. He has more than 10 years of training and speaking experience to a variety of participant from the financial services industry, government, telecommunication, utilities, oil & gas, manufacturing and many more.
Prior to this he was the Cybersecurity Training & Education Director for an international cyber security company’s Cybersecurity Centre of Excellence (CCoE) based here in Cyberjaya, Malaysia. In that capacity, he pioneered the setup of on the new CCoE including providing many trainings, certification and awareness session to both government and private sector attendees.
He was a Regional Principal Cyber Security Consultant for an IT Services Company based in Singapore. In this capacity, he is tasked to drive the technology, solutioning, consulting and delivery of security services. He leads the regional team spread across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong and Australia.
As a previous enterprise security architect, he was with the internal IT team heading the cyber security architecture, strategy and planning requirements. In that capacity, he achieves the security goals by determining security solutions and guiding the implementation of controls for IT and the cloud aligned to business needs and regulatory requirements.
He has also lead the Cyber Security practise in one of the Big 4 as the Security Practice Director. There, he lead cyber strategy development, regulatory compliance and cyber defence services. His team has delivered numerous cyber maturity assessments (CMA), vulnerability assessment and penetration testing, red teaming, security incident response and cyber drill services.
He holds multiple cybers security certifications including CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP, CCSP, CCSK and SCF. Han Ther has served as one of the past Board of Directors on the Information System Audit & Control Association (ISACA) Malaysia’s chapter, is serving as the industry advisor panel (IAP) for Monash University Malaysia’s Faculty of IT and volunteering in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Security working group of the National Artificial Intelligence Officer (NAIO) of Malaysia. He speaks regularly on technology and cyber security conferences and conducts cybersecurity awareness training for many different levels including the Board of Directors (BOD).
