Renuka Indrarajah is currently Corporate Affairs and Legal Director of Heineken Malaysia Berhad with responsibility for Government Relations, Corporate Communications, Sustainability, Legal Matters and Company Secretarial. She joined the company in 2002 as Legal Manager and was promoted to Head of Legal Affairs in 2004 and in 2007 to Corporate Affairs and Legal Director. She has led the setting up of SPARK Foundation, which is the company’s CSR arm and driven the adoption of Environmental Sustainability, Social Sustainability and Responsible Consumption as key ESG focus areas under HEINEKEN’s Brew A Better World sustainability strategy.
Renuka also manages the strategic corporate issues facing the industry, including tax and excise duties and regulations that govern the brewing industry, engaging with various stakeholders across Government, civil society and fellow industry leaders. Renuka holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Queensland and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practise from Queensland University of Technology.
Renuka was called as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of Queensland and High Court of Australia and as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya. She commenced her career as a litigation lawyer in Australia and then returned to Malaysia to practice as a corporate lawyer in Skrine. Renuka later joined Sema Group in 1998 as the Regional Legal Manager responsible for the legal work in Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong.
She is currently Vice President, Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and serves on the Exco of the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
