Social-tech entrepreneur Zikry Kholil, who co-founded Incitement—a digital platform that enables companies, communities or individuals to create social impact—has always had the impulse to make a difference in the world. He has previously served as a field volunteer with the refugee agency UNHCR, worked at the Asean Secretariat where he contributed to pushing the democratisation plan for the Myanmar elections in 2010, and volunteered to conduct free soft-skills learning workshops to students in Jordan.
In 2011, teaming up with his Dutch former colleague Daniel de Gruijter, Kholil co-founded Incitement, a platform that started out aimed at promoting volunteerism and social impact among youths. It was later adopted by top companies, from L’Oréal and PepsiCo to Nestlé and Swift, to co-ordinate their employees’ corporate social responsibility efforts. Today, Incitement is helping companies, brands and communities create social impact in more than 60 countries, through hundreds of initiatives and the mobilising of thousands of volunteers. Zikry Kholil is also a regular international speaker and a juror for the United Nations World Summit Award.
