She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from the University of Malaya and an MBA from the University
of Bath, UK, combining strong academic foundations with extensive practical experience.
She co-founded Jalex Sdn Bhd in 1988 and currently serves as the Group Executive Director for
Jalex, a specialist interior fit-out company and its several manufacturing subsidiaries in timber,
metal, stone and furniture.
Jalex Group of Companies have successfully delivered the interior fit-out of Dewan Filharmonik
Petronas, Putrajaya Convention Centre, TRX Exchange Mall, Menara 118 and the latest Waldorf
Astoria Hotel.
A highly respected figure in her industry, her leadership extends well beyond the project sites.
Notably, she served as the President of the Malaysian Interior Industry Partners (MIIP) from 2017
to 2019, solidifying her reputation as a visionary leader dedicated to advancing industry
standards. Janet continues to leverage her deep industry knowledge to champion innovation and
sustainable developments.
