Ar, Azril Amir Bin Jaafar

A Malaysian architect with over 20 years of experience with special interest in environmentally sustainable design solutions. He is a Principal & Director of VERITAS Design Group, one of Asia’s largest design firms based in Kuala Lumpur. He is also a corporate member of Malaysian Institute of Architects, Green Building Index Facilitator, Green RE Technical Advisory Panel, CIDB Construction Industry Standard panel and IATA certified Airport Terminal Planner & Designer.

Graduated from Manchester School of Architecture, UK, his student works won International Student Design Competition, Korea (1997), CDM Competition, UK (1998). He worked in Brock Carmichael, Liverpool, Holford Associates, Manchester and TR Hamzah & Yeang, Kuala Lumpur before joining VERITAS.

In 2011 he was selected as one of the 30 emerging young Malaysian Architects in Malaysia, in a ‘30 under 40’ publication by the Malaysian Institute of Architects.

Some of the award-winning buildings spearheaded by him are PKNS Headquarters, Shah Alam, Pintasan Saloma pedestrian bridge Kuala Lumpur, Petronas Leadership Centre, Bangi and Radisson Blue hotels in Business Bay, Dubai.

Many of Azril’s works have been published in local and international publications. He has spoken widely on design and sustainable architecture in various events, conferences, become regular critics and external examiner in universities.

Azril has also being featured in radio and television programs such as BFM Property show, Suria FM, Bernama TV Biz Talk, RTM Bersama Pakar, RTM Biz Malaysia and Bernama TV Hello Malaysia.
