Ir Wong Wai-Mun has a B. Eng. (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from University of Malaya (UM) 2001 and an MBA from University of Strathclyde 2009. He has been involved in the engineering consulting industry for more than 2 decades focusing initially on MEP services and recently on delivering projects involving multi-disciplinary teams. Apart from being a practicing consulting engineer (PEPC), he is also registered as ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer (ACPE), APEC Engineer, International PE (MY) and a Member of learned societies such as IEM, ACEM, ASHRAE and CIBSE.
Ir Wong Wai-Mun is currently attached to WSP Engineering Malaysia Sdn Bhd as Director based in their KL office in Malaysia. The firm is part of WSP Global Inc, the world’s leading professional services firm with its HQ in Montreal, Canada. As of 2024, the group has in excess of 70,000 active projects with 67,300 staff worldwide.
He is currently leading the data centre business in Malaysia and has led WSP team in delivering multiple Master Planning and Technical Due Diligence for both greenfield and brownfield data centre sites and buildings in Johor, Cyberjaya and KL area serving WSP’s international clients ranging from USA, Middle East, Singapore, Hong Kong and China. He has recently led multi-countries WSP team and successfully delivered Design Packages for 2 data centre sites in Indonesia involving total installed IT load of almost 100MW.
