
A technical Project Engineer turned Commercial and Marketing Excellence Leader, John started his career with EITA Power System as Project Sales Engineer specializing in lower voltage (LV) equipment in Year 2007. Whilst there, he was responsible for project execution, electrical distribution system solutioning and commercial engagement.
In 2010, he accepted the role of a Business Development Engineer with Schneider Electric Malaysia where he built his career integrating technical calculation, design conceptual, commercial, strategy, operation excellence and marketing. During the 14 years in Schneider Electric, a global company which specializes in energy management and automation, covering Singapore, Malaysia, and Brunei, John progressively honed his skills from prescriptions to solutioning, developing marketing and business strategy to deliver the company’s ambitious digital and automation transformation.
John previously led the Services Marketing and Operational Excellences for Services Business Malaysia before joining ABB Malaysia as Product Marketing Director for Malaysia Smart Power & Smart Building Business. His key responsibilities include product technical and commercial management, business strategy and technical training.
John is able to leapfrog a technical career to commercial and marketing due to his learning agility and open mindset. As such, he is able to seamlessly integrate engineering value to commercial success for both customers and the company.
