
Dr Manmeet Mahinderjit Singh is a distinguished cybersecurity expert and Associate Professor at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). With a PhD in Data Security from the University of Queensland, she is a leading voice in Data Security, Artificial Intelligences (AI) security, privacy engineering, and digital trust.
Her research spans behavioural profiling, smart security (IoT and RFID) , frictionless authentication, and privacy-preserving systems. She integrates technical innovation with regulatory and ethical design (PDPA, GDPR) to deliver secure, usable solutions across sectors including healthcare, e-commerce, and smart cities. Dr Singh develops advanced threat detection and prevention strategies against multi-stages threat namely Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) and ransomware and advocates for explainable, robust AI in life-critical systems. As a certified trainer and mentor, she leads postgraduate supervision, executive training, and STEM outreach. She has delivered keynotes across ASEAN and the UK, and served on panels at CISO Kuala Lumpur, CyberSecMY, and ECSOM. Her leadership has earned her the Women in Security Malaysia Award (2020) and the ASEAN Women in Cybersecurity Award (2021).
Dr Manmeet continues to shape national cybersecurity strategies while contributing to global dialogues on ethical, secure digital ecosystems.
