Georg Chmiel is a Malaysia-based entrepreneur and business leader with more than 3 decades of experience in rapidly growing, disruptive online businesses. He has led more than 40 acquisitions and has managed 10 takeover processes. He has been instrumental in creating a number of unicorns and centaurs.
Georg is the Co-Founder & Executive Chair of Juwai-IQI Holdings, the largest proptech group in ASEAN with more than 45,000 real estate professionals across 30 countries. He is Chair of ASX-listed companies Spacetalk and Centrepoint Alliance. Georg is also Director of Xamble and Kinatico. He is Co-Founder & Chair of Chmiel Global Advisory, and Senior Advisor to brioHR.com, modelmanagement.com, Chair of GoflexEvents, and GreenGlow.Earth.
Georg was previously Executive Chair of iCarAsia, the number 1 online automotive marketplace for ASEAN until its acquisition by CARSOME. He was also MD & CEO of the iProperty Group until its sale to REA Group in the biggest online takeover in ASEAN at that point in time. He was MD & CEO of LJ Hooker Group a leading Australian real estate group with 700 real estate offices across ten countries. Georg also held the position of Group CFO & Acting CEO at REA Group, an Australian based decacorn and worked for KPMG, Deutsche Bank and McKinsey.
