Associate Professor Dr. Manmeet Mahinderjit Singh

Dr. Manmeet Mahinderjit Singh is a Cybersecurity Associate Professor at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Malaysia, with over 14 years of academic experience and five years of industry expertise. She holds a PhD in Data Security from the University of Queensland, Australia. Her research and professional expertise span Cybersecurity, Internet of Things (IoT) Security, Smart Device Security, Mobile Security, Artificial Intelligence Security, and Smart City applications. Dr. Manmeet leads and contributes to funded research initiatives focusing on Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) groups and ransomware families threat intelligence, privacy risk modelling, and cybersecurity situational awareness frameworks. She has designed and delivered numerous executive and technical cybersecurity training programs, including Emerging Technology Security, Big Data Security, Mobile Security, and Cybersecurity for Managers. She also serves as a Master Trainer in Computational Thinking.

Dr. Manmeet chaired CISO Kuala Lumpur 2025 and 2026 and has been an invited speaker and panel moderator at regional and international cybersecurity forums. She has also served as a judge for the CISO Awards organized by IDG Singapore (2021–2024). Recognized for her contributions to the field, she was named among the Top 30 Cybersecurity Women ASEAN (2021, 2022) and Top 10 Cybersecurity Women Malaysia (2021, 2022), and she received the Cybersecurity Trainer Award 2022. She actively collaborates with government agencies including CyberSecurity Malaysia and serves on the Executive Committee of the Australian Information Security Association (AISA), while mentoring in the Women in CyberSecurity (WiCyS) community.
