Ts. I.D Safairis Amat Noor is an experienced officer in the fields of cybersecurity, personal data protection, testing and certification, as well as standards compliance.
He currently serves as the Head of the Data Breach Incident Section, under the Personal Data Protection Office, where he is responsible for coordinating investigations into personal data breach incidents, managing complaints related to privacy violations, as well as overseeing monitoring and compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act.
Prior to joining the Personal Data Protection Office, he served in several positions in government agencies related to cybersecurity, compliance with security standards, and risk management in banking sector. His experience encompasses investigation, testing, development of information security policies, as well as the implementation of awareness and compliance initiatives. He served in Qatar for three years with the Qatar National Cyber Security Agency as a consultant in establishing a Certification Body and accrediting ICT security product testing laboratories.
He is also actively involved in expanding strategic collaborative networks with enforcement agencies, security service providers, and relevant authorities with the mission to protect and secure data.
